bride and groom prep

Yay - your big day is finally here. My assistant/photographer and I will arrive promptly at the start time agreed upon. If you are choosing to also have groom prep covered, please keep that in mind when you're building your timeline and looking for places for both sides to get ready.

When we arrive to the bridal prep location, please make sure you have the following laid out:
- your dress, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, veil, belt
- earrings, necklace, bracelet, perfume, engagement ring, both wedding bands
- your handwritten vows, a copy of your stationary set
Accessories to consider: Mrs. Box for photographing rings, Marbella Dish for rings and jewelry, custom dress hanger

Having these items placed together allows us more time for those beautiful detail shots we all know and love, and reduces the risk of something not being photographed due to it being tucked away in a drawer. More time for detail shots also means more time to photograph you getting your dress on, your first look with your parents, and your bridesmaids seeing you for the first time in your dress.

If we are covering groom prep, please make sure the men are showered and have clothes on (pants and a shirt) before we arrive. You would be surprised how many times we have walked in to un-showered or naked grooms. Please have the following items set aside:
- shoes, socks, cufflinks, suspenders, watch, sunglasses, cologne
- handwritten vows

Please make sure the prep room is clean and free of clutter. Any shopping bags, suitcases, etc can and should be put into a closet, bathroom or spare bedroom.

If you are getting ready in an extra beautiful location, we may steal you away for some solo portraits before the days festivities start!
